Choose the right license for your needs.

Quick guide:

• Standard: Build one end product (for you or one client). Free distribution allowed. Not for end products that are sold to multiple customers.
• Multisite: Build unlimited end products for you or multiple clients. Free distribution allowed. Not for sold end products.
• Extended: Build one end product that can be sold to end users.

Standard License

Basics

The Standard License grants you a non-exclusive right to use the Template you purchased from Webestica Studio.
You are licensed to use the Template to create one End Product for yourself or for one client (a single application). The End Product may be distributed for free.

You can

• Create one End Product for a client, transfer that End Product to the client, and charge for your services. The license is then transferred to the client.
• Make unlimited copies of the single End Product as long as the End Product is distributed for free.
• Modify the Template or combine it with other works to make a derivative work. This includes extracting components from the Template for use in a derivative work. The resulting End Product remains subject to this license.

You cannot

• Sell the End Product except to the one client covered by the license.
• Re-distribute the Template’s source files, modified or not, outside of the End Product.
• Use the Template in an application that lets the End User customize or extract the template (for example, template builders or “build it yourself” generators).
• Allow an End User to access the Template’s source and use it separately from the End Product.

Standard License – Examples

Use case 1: A freelance designer builds a portfolio website for a photographer. The license covers that single website.
Use case 2: A company creates an internal dashboard for employees to track sales or performance. It’s used only within the company, not sold to customers.
Use case 3: A startup builds a marketing site to promote their mobile app. The Template is only used on the marketing pages (not inside the app itself).

The key idea: One license = one project. That project can be free or for one paying client, but not resold to multiple customers.

Multisite License

Basics

The Multisite License grants you a non-exclusive right to use the Template to create unlimited End Products for yourself or for multiple clients. The End Products may be distributed for free.

You can

• Create unlimited End Products for clients. When you transfer an End Product to a client, that client receives the equivalent of a Standard License for that End Product.
• Make unlimited copies of a single End Product as long as it is distributed for free.
• Modify the Template and combine it with other works. The result is subject to this license.

You cannot

• Sell End Products to paying users under this license.
• Re-distribute the Template’s source files outside the End Product.
• Use the Template in applications that let End Users customize or extract the Template.
• Allow an End User to access the Template’s source and use it separately.

Multisite License – Examples

Use case 1: A freelancer builds three different websites for three different clients (for example, a dentist, a gym, and a local café) and uses the same template for all of them. With a Multisite License, they only need one license instead of three Standard Licenses.
Use case 2: An agency uses the template to create unlimited internal dashboards for different departments within a large company.
Use case 3: A design studio reuses the same Template across multiple marketing websites for their own products.

The key idea: Unlimited projects, but only for free distribution or client-specific projects. You cannot sell the product to end customers directly under this license.

Extended License

Basics

The Extended License grants you a non-exclusive right to use the Template to create one End Product for yourself or for one client, and that End Product may be sold or distributed for free.

You can

• Create one End Product and transfer it to a client, charging for your services. The license is transferred to the client.
• Sell the End Product and make any number of copies of that single End Product.
• Modify the Template or combine it with other works; the resulting End Product is subject to this license.

You cannot

• Use the Template to create more than one unique End Product.
• Re-distribute the Template’s source files outside the End Product.
• Use the Template in an application that allows End Users to customize or extract the Template, unless you purchase separate licenses for each final product created that way.
• Allow an End User to access the Template’s source and use it separately from the End Product.

Extended License – Examples

Use case 1: A company builds a SaaS analytics platform using the template. Paying users log in to use the service, so this requires an Extended License.
Use case 2: A business uses the template to design both the marketing site and the customer-only dashboard of their subscription app. Since the dashboard is only available to paying subscribers, this falls under the Extended License.
Use case 3: A blogger runs a site with premium, “subscribers-only” content. Because part of the site is restricted to paying users, an Extended License is needed.
Use case 4: A startup creates a UI kit or app that is sold to customers, where the template is part of the final product. This also requires the Extended License.

The key idea: One project that can be sold or used by paying end users.

Third-party content

If a Template includes code, images, fonts, or other content that came from third parties under a different license, that item keeps its original license. The Template author will note such items where relevant. You are responsible for following those original licenses or for getting permission from the third-party rights holder.

Definitions

• Template: The purchased digital work provided by Webestica Studio.
• End Product: A customized implementation of the Template delivered to End Users or clients.
• End User: A user of the End Product.
• Client: A contracted employer of the license holder.
